This extraordinary environment was conceived by an architect belonging to the family that owns the building, inspired by the renowned Parisian neoclassical taste of the nineteenth century.

The semi-columns, with their refined and slightly modified Doric capitals compared to the models of classical Greek architecture, dominate the space with their marble majesty in stucco. These architectural elements elegantly outline the score of the hall.

As in ancient classical architecture the columns support an entablature decorated with a traditional frame of ovules and acanthus leaves adding a touch of grace and refinement.

Above the entablature stands a ribbed vault, magnificently decorated with stucco lacunar tiles that follow and underline the curve of the pavilion vault. The lightness of this intricate lacunar motif is made possible by the use of buboli, characteristic cylindrical terracotta tiles, which recall the ancient Roman building technique used for the great vaults of imperial architecture.
